Love the old school vibe. Sorry we did not get to the Top Scores list.
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
"A little bit Devil Daggers, a little bit Wolfenstein 3D... A fun game that's just dripping with style." — PC GAMER
"Its mixture of chirpy bloops and techno beats with its alternative hot and cold colors makes it easy to immerse yourself in the raw experience." — KOTAKU
BAD VIBES is a weird, wild homage to the golden era of first-person shooters. Trapped in an alien maze, you're forced to survive as long as you can. Run around collecting keys and vaporizing all the baddies that get in your way. The longer you stay alive, the more bad vibes you crush, the higher your score when you win. BAD VIBES is pure shooter madness, the way it was intended to be.

BAD VIBES was created during November and December 2017. It features original music by Richard Jonas (used with permission from the artist) and sound effects created with sample packs available for free from Legowelt. A sprite asset from a free Wolfenstein 3D mod, Planet Nexion (2008), and another from Catacomb 3-D (1991) were used in this build. Aside from any bug fixes, there are currently no plans to continue developing the game, but any feedback is greatly appreciated all the same. The leaderboard is updated daily with new high scores.

Awesome video! Thanks for posting it and sharing. Better luck grabbing a top score next time :)
Nice to see this back on the front page. Good to see people are still interested in this even over two years later.
Even though pfail already saw my video I'm still going to post it here for anyone else who wants to see what the gameplay's like (skip to 4:14)
How do you get past the title screen? I cant select play or anything.
You move the hand cursor up and down with your arrow keys and then press Enter when the hand is next to START. Please let me know if that doesn't work :)
PRETTY UNIQUE GAME.
I COULDNT GET PASS THE INTRO SO I FREESTYLED SOMETHING TO THE BEAT LOL. JK, ILL BE DOING A GAMEPLAY TOMORROW.
Ha! Glad you figured it out eventually. Great video :)
When i try to start the game it gives me the spawn UNKNOWN error
Hey there, so sorry to hear this! First time it's come up in almost a year.
Could you let me know if you're running on Mac or Windows, and what version your OS is? Also, if you can somehow get me a screenshot of the error message, that would be helpful, too.
I fell like i run out of ammo in 3 seconds. Am i doing something wrong?
I'm not sure, but there are three different types of ammo throughout the game. So maybe you need to switch those?
The head bobbing is really holding this one back.
I dig your style.
It's an interesting idea, it's a big gnash, but the mouse sensitivity is very low.
Just updated the game with increased mouse sensitivity, and it's been such an improvement. Thanks for such useful feedback!
Awesome game! Good job, maybe I wasn't there during the golden age of first-person shooters, but it couldn't help but remind me of an old fps I had when I was younger called Dark Arena on the gba hahaha. Always satisfying seeing all those enemies piling up on the floor. Again good job, and good luck on the jam!
